La Vie en Rose
What you see
The world turns the color of a late peach sky. Skin glows, greys warm up, harsh white light goes soft. After a minute your eyes start to adapt and the pink recedes into a feeling rather than a color. Take them off and the world flashes faintly green for a breath: the afterimage of a happy haze.
The physics in one breath
A rose tint passes red and blue light and gently dims the green band, the band our eyes are most sensitive to. Less green means less glare and a softer, warmer scene.
What the brand says
LVB calls this its most sought-after lens: wearers report an elevated mood, less tension and more clarity, for sunlit days and loud cities. Loving Victorious Beings, victoriousbeings.com
“The world went into a delicious, happy haze.” Liana Satenstein, American Vogue, quoted on victoriousbeings.com
Where it shines
Piazza San Marco (evening, partly cloudy). Stone, sky and crowds. The pinks make the whole square look like it is in love.
Wear note
LVB's own FAQ asks you to keep Color Therapy wear to about 30 minutes a day, never to drive in them, and to remember they are not sunglasses. For wellness use only; not a medical device.
